Bad Credit. How to buy a home?

I have bad credit. This happened because of unusual circumstances which I did not expect. My income is very high and I am ready to pay all of the credits. Still, the banks does not lend money for buying a home even after 20% down payment.

What options do I have to buy a home?.Are there any private lenders who can finance a House with the same conditions of a bank?

Any pointers, help appreciated.

Fixing your credit enough to get a loan can take as little as a year. Start by getting a secured credit card - never charge more than half of your limit and pay it off entirely every month.

This was the only change I made to my credit and in a year I went up 50 points and then had a payment history to show, so I was able to buy my home.Bad Credit. How to buy a home?
fix your credit first and then you will be able to buy a home.
Too many lenders have been burned. I suggest that you show good will by making a substantial down payment - say 20%.
You are going to have to repair your credit history first. Depending on how bad it is, it could take up to two years of on-time payments to get high enough to have a shot.
you could look or ask the seller if they would consider contract for deed. since you do have the money for a down payment, there might be a seller willing to help both of you out.
