How do I raise my credit score 100 pts in 6 months LEGALLY?

We have had some bad luck in the past, but money is coming in quickly and will continue. We would like to buy a home valued at 150,000 in next 6 months. My credit score is only a 540. How can I get that up to a 650-700 within the next 6 months LEGALLY. Please no spam links. Only answer if you have had experience with quickly raising your credit score. How do I raise my credit score 100 pts in 6 months LEGALLY?
First thing is pull your credit report!

Examine it carefully, are there errors? If so you need to dispute them.

When you correspond with a credit reporting agency do it certified mail. I have herd too many stories of mail claiming to be lost! Make sure they fully comply withe the Fair Credit Reporting ACT.

There are a couple of other things that can help raise your score very quickly. The ratio of your credit used to your available credit should not exceed 50%, if it does your score suffers. If this is the case, see if you can either pay down you balance or get you existing credit limits increased.

Keep all your accounts current! As the length of time since you were late you score will improve.

What if there are judgments against you? Fist make sure that are really yours, if not challenge them. If you do own a judgment, you may need to get that cleared up.

Lenders will require that judgments be satisfied before the will give you money. But just paying it off, and having a satisfaction recorded, could hurt. My understanding that activity on a judgment, even satisfaction can lower your credit score. So you may want settle with your creditor, get a properly certified satisfaction piece in hand, but not have it recorded.

Some of the other answers, say that credit-repair companies are all RIPOFFS. Many are! My understanding is that the very best credit-repair is done by individuals (not usually attorneys) that charge 1 to 2 thousand for the process. The process can take up to a year or so. I do not have any referrals to offer your. The best I can say is search, contact, and verify the quality of their work!

If you have judgments against you, I may be able to help. How do I raise my credit score 100 pts in 6 months LEGALLY?
I honestly am not sure. I know there are credit builder loans that last for one year. You could try talking to your bank to see if there is one that is 6 months, not sure if they offer them though, or what it would do to your credit. (Credit builder loan is one where they ';lend'; you money but they do not actually give you the money, then you make payments and then get the money back at the end)
your credit score will go up only if you pay your bill on and will go up once a year only it is the way the credit company is set up for every body do not let any body use your credit card its your credit no one else cares more about your credit score then you
You need to get a copy of your credit report and find out why your credit score is so low.

Here are things that will increase your credit score:

- Always pay on time.

- If you have more then 1 credit card, DO NOT cancel them, canceling a card will actually decrease your score, just don't use it.

- If you have more then 2 credit cards, pay them all on time and spend about 10% at most of the credit limit on each, instead of one large payment on one card.

- Try to keep a zero balance or a balance close to that as you can get. DO NOT just pay the minimum, you need to pay more in order to increase your credit score, especially if 6 months.

- If you don't have 2 or 3 cards, DO NOT open a new one, just work with the one you have

- Call your credit card company and ask them what else you can do to improve your credit.

- Pay your student loans or mortgage on time.

- DO NOT go out trying to find new loans, credit cards or mortgages, this will decrease your score.

- Try to decrease your debt to income ratio, this will help

I hope this helps... good luck on your new house

I hope this helps a little bit.
Now this isn't a direct answer, but this will certainly help from past experience.

-Limit your credit inquiries

-Do not apply for new credit

-Pay off as much as you can immediately

-Pay off credit cards, but do not close them (ex: if you have 10,000 worth of debt, pay off a $2,000 card you have 8,000 of 10,000 (80% debt used of total available), but if you pay it off then close it then you have 8,000 of 8,000 (100% debt used of total available).

-Talk to your credit card companies about lowering your APR. If they wont, then threaten to move them to a lower interest rate card with another company. If that doesn't work, then really move it to another company!

-Live on a budget and put all extra money to your debt.

--This one I can't fully recommend, but it did work for me. Ask for a loan from a family member. You'll get an amount of money not going on your credit report that you can use to pay off credit cards or credit reporting agencies. Most family members (parents) will allow you to pay it back in time, but be honest and straight forward.
Won't happen in 6mos

You would either need to pay off any past collections, judgments etc

You would also need to buy something on credit and make on time payments to raise your score

There used to be a system where people were selling their good name for others to piggy back off of, but I am not sure that is legal anymore

That is the only way I have read that people get their scores to shoot up in a short amount of time. What they were doing is people with good credit were lending their name to someone to be a authorized user on a credit card (the one who was trying to up his score never got a credit card, only the good score that went with it) they would pay anwhere from $1500 and up for this privilege

Maybe Google something to do with piggybacking on anothers credit and see what you come up with.
Not realistic in six months. Figure two years or so.
Can't be done and all the credit repair companies are scams. Credit takes years of paying your bills on time all of the time, take care of any judgements or past due bill on your credit report and watch your debt to income, you can make 200K a year and spend 225K a year. You can't buy a good credit score you have to earn it.

Pay off, settle ALL delinquencies. Pay off all balances, paying down higher interest rate cards first. Pay all bills, in full, on time, every month. Pay your student loans and bills.

You have lousy credit due to your actions and inactions. You can change your credit rating by your own actions and inactions. You have to change your habit of POOR financial management.

Don't apply for any NEW credit, don't buy anything you can't pay off in one month. Stop using credit cards, but don't cancel all of them, just cut them up. Exercize restraint and prudence. You can do this IF you really want to, but you have to be consistent, and you have to change your ways. This score reflects More than bad luck.
Well, I am here to tell you it CAN be done. I am living proof. I closed on a $230,000 home today @ 5:45 pm EST. The home is mine all mine. I started out working diligently in December. I first tackled the collections on my credit report. I disputed each and every collection. I currently have NO collections on my credit report. I had a charged off account with Verizon that I sent a certified letter to the Presiden of the company. I received two phone calls and 3 emails from his personal secretary. Within 30 days that charge-off was deleted from my credit report. Please check out Myfico.com, this site motivated me and it also gives you examples of letters and steps to take to clean up your report. Like I said, I am a witness. In six months I have 1: bought a 2008 Lincoln Navigor with a loan from my credit union in the amount of $45,000, 2: closed on my home, 3: i now have a $14,000 line of credit on my checking account. It just takes you doing your due diligence and not giving up. I am currently working on my husbands credit which is taking more letters than mine because he had alot of medical bills. Get your credit report and keep a journal of all the letters you send. You have to be organized!
小redit repair work械d fine to fix my credit. They disputed and removed lots of bad items from my credit report. I used this service - credit-report-score.10001mb.com
